carb adjustment help

hi, i had sent my carb to be rebuilt because of a fuel leak out of the side. it was a original style holley 2 barrel, i got it back, put it on and it still leaked. the mechanic suggested that the bushing in the throttle shaft was worn and that makes it non-repairable, needs a new base plate he says, i then decided to buy a new holley street performance 4 barrell, the truck runs better than ever except for when i am stopped am sitting at a light, it has a very noticable vibration throughout the whole truck, the engine is a 292 y-block with a fordomatic tranny, like i said, it runs great once i give it gas. i just wonder what everyone else thinks as far as ajustments go, maybe try to bump up the idle a little, i just don't want to go and start adjusting without a few other opinions. also, i sent the truck to a tranny shop to adjust the kickdown linkage since the four barrel changed all of the original linkage setup. thanks in advance.

Sound like you should also check for vacuum leak and do some adjustments on the idle/Mixtures and maybe check the timing.

See if there is a shop that can adjust it with a InfraRed or other canner or scopes to see if the mixture is correct on the Air/Fuel ratio.
