frame for 79 f100 needed

I am trying to convert my 8 foot bed to a 6 foot step side. any ideas as to how to shorten my frame or find a short frame?/

these projects have been done before on this site. any good welding shop can help you with this project.

the best thing I can tell you is buy the parts or find a nice flareside bed. stepside is a chevy term.

*Edit* by the way the flareside bed is 6 1/2 feet not 6.
