im planing on taking the dana 44 and 9" rears along with the c6 and np205 transfer case out of a 73-79 f150 and put it all into my 85 f150 what is necessary to do this?
I just wrote a giant response tp your question, and realized that this is a coil sprung front end.
This is just a run of the mill solid axle swap.
Visit the tech section in the off-road forum, and read about the solid axle swap. This will detail what you should expect for the front end.
The rear is easy, and is just about a direct bolt in.
The crossmember will have to be made, or at least modified to fit, but again, nothing major, and you will just have the speedo to consider.
This should be a decent swap.
Not your fault man, I was the bonehead that did not read that you were working on a 1/2 ton truck. In my mind I was thinking F250's and leaf springs. You wrote everything just fine. It was my fault, It was easy to delete my response, and you should still find what you are looking for in the tech section of off-road.
