new user,need list of cheapbasic mods!!

hi everyone!i just got a 97 psd and im going trough every single inch of it learning and fixing anything wrong that i see.the truck is mostly stock but i already installed a new clutch a new fluids.i still have to find a fuel under the pump...
is there a list of mods or quick fixes i should know?thanks in advance!

if you look up 6637 and 10K you'll come up w/ the two easiest mods.

Clean the fuel bowl and screen(standpipe is reverse threaded). Check fuel pressure and shim FPR if needed.

And as soon as you can, change the down pipe and get gauges.

get rid of the muffler, cat, and that stock downpipe, 6637, 10k mod (or 18k, or 22k... whatever), gauges, then you'll be hooked like the rest of us

How about the 140 IDM mod?? pretty cheap if you have some basic soldering knowledge.

i know my wallet is suffering too,just replace the transmission and clutch...

i was replacing the fuel filter and discovered that the lid was part of filter and the new one came without the lid .which one is the right one?

they are both technically right some companies sell them with and some without. you can get the lid from a junkyard or ford. and just stick with what ever brand you use.

here on maui junkyards are not that comon,tomorrow back to the parts store for the one with the lid...thanks for the quick reply!!!!

X3 on the 10k, FPR shim and 6637. The cat and muffler delete can be pretty cheap if you can get some pipe cheap and have/can borrow a welder. The downpipe should come fairly soon.
