Question Traction Bars Necessary

I am planning on getting 8" lift for my truck specifically a lift kit that replaces the OEM radius arms and rear lift springs. Since I am replacing the leaf springs on the rear, would I still need to add traction bars for the 8" lift?

Well the further away the springs are from the center of the axle the more leverage the axle has on the susupension. Thats why trucks with stacked blocks have a lot of axle wrap. If you get rid of the block that equals less leverage so less axle wrap. But its not too important to get rid of the block. On my 79 F-150 I got a 2" leveling kit that eliminated the rear blocks. It works good but I dont do burnouts on concrete. If you plan on doing burnouts on pavement then Id get ladder bars whether you keep the blocks or not. It kinda depends how you plan to use the truck.
