As everyone knows, when the key is in the ignition and the drivers door is open, there is that annoying chime until you close the door or remove the keys.....

I can't stand it........How can I remove this?!?

You can pull of the steering column cover and snip one of the wires going to the contacts on the ignition switch. Don't snip the wrong one, there's a second set that goes to a black ring around where the key goes in. Those are for the anti-theft system.

 

Why would you want to do that? that's for you not to forget the keys inside the car.... Just remove the keys from the ignition and problem solved.

 

Pull the ignition cyclinder and put some tape on the contacts along the top. Reinstall and problem solved. Can be done in about 90 sec. and doesn't cut anything.
