ok i just had my exhaust redone on my 95 f350 5 speed 460 efi. i have long tube headers a catco cat and a force muffler. sounded like a$$ so i just pulled the force muffler off and put a flowmaster race muffler on it. still is very quite but it pops and crackles when you down shift. my question is is the catco cats hi flos? if they are they don't flow hi enough for me! i can't take my cat off cause i need it to pass inspection and i don't want to pull the flowmaster off cause i just paid 20 bucks for it. (i know thats expensive). is there a higher flowing cat i could possibly put on? my buddie had a magnaflow cat with these mufflers and it was obnoxious!! i'm 21 by the way so being loud and noticed is a big deal. and i'm not afraid of anything especially cops! What size pipes did you run?

 

its a 3 inch single coming out behind the rear tire in the stock location

 

i'm from maine and the police around here are very strict with exhaust noise. especially with trucks. mines lifted so that don't help either. the exhaust has to apear to be stock in maine. some cops in areas don't care about it because they have better things to do then to pull over people for 2 exhaust pipes hanging out the back but around here if you have more than on pipe your getting a ticket. i tried running a 3.5" striaght pipe off a diesel but it only lasted a day and i got pulled over and was told to take it off. i'm thinking a magnaflow cat would prob give me a little more exhaust note.
