retractable hardtop?
I haven't been able to find it yet, but wasn't there a guy who did a '58 retractable hardtop convertible?
I mainly ask because I'm doing this to my Mustang and trying to gather information...

I`ve read about a supposedly 65 experimental Mustang done but for some reason it disappeared before ever being shown to the public. I have no idea if this is really true or not.

There was a manual retractable hard top made by Ford as a prototype for the Mustang. The trunk needed to be modified, and the top had much steeper lines and in my opinion really looked like crap. After the butt loads of money the poured into designing it, it was scraped when they couldn't figure out a way to make it automatic. Thankfully, I know about hydraulics A hard top is cool, a retractable hard top is very awesome, but an automatic hard top, now that's pee-yourself spectacular.
I was mainly looking for someone who had done such a mod themselves. My Mustang's top will need to be folded, not just completely moved to the truck do to the shortness of the truck. But I have figured out how to make it look completely stock when its up and when its down
A lot of work, a lot of design, a lot of easier ways to do some things, but non as cool as taking it as far as you can
