So after reading through nicks (quadzjr) build thread about 6 different times along with several build threads on pirate.
I have convinced my self to do a "big" build. Basically VERY similar to what nick has done, 4-links, rocks, coilovers, dual transfer cases. I want to keep the 351 for now, just for simplicity along with the zf5speed.
I like the idea, of Twinsticking the 1st trans (205) and having an engine driven winch... Would be sweet, i will have to look into making that work out.
Ive been doing some research on link suspension, but i dont know enough about it yet, so i might have to farm that work out... It being so touchy i really dont want to **** it up.
So any idea's you guys got, i am in a kind of planning stage now, kinda gettin all my thoughts into one place kinda thing, so i could be persuaded one way or another....
Let me know what you guys think, and or opinions...
Its not electric and not hydro, kinda like a pto driven winch...
Mostly mud, but im sure it will find its way up a few hills and down a few trails, in which case i will drop down to a 44" tire...
Well for a street tire im thinkin of the 54" michellins and probably run ag's for the mud.... If im gunna do this im gunna do it BIG.
Im thinking something pretty similar to quadzjr build... Its in the tech tread, check it out if you want an idea...
Well rocks have a 6.72 gear i belive or something close to it...
I would run a doubler too i want to find away to bolt up a 205 to a zf 5speed, not sure if it was an option or not, Im not sure on what i want as the second transfer case, but i like the ability to twin stick the 205 so i can use the front out put for a pto driven winch...
Yea thats what i was thinkin about doing, i dont know what the final ratio would be i would have to look into that, ive also got to think of some kind of drop though, as i dont want insane driveshaft angles...
The 95 its really to the point that i either sas it throw some gears at it and call it done, which would make it horrible on fuel economy, or just make it a big project and get a new dd ( which i want to do anyways ) then have a sweet rig!!!!!!!!
