....I finally ordered a DP Tuner! When I went to "checkout" on their website, I got so excited, I opted for "next day air" delivery! I hope it is what all of y'all have said it is. I also ordered a new air filter and am going to change a few fluids before hooking it up so I can get the full experience this weekend.
I got the NS, Stock, one of the High-Idles, 80-tow, and 80-Econ. I didn't think I'd need anything over 80 to stay ahead of the Dodges.
Congrats on the DP order.....time to order the mods that go along with it! Gauges and a Valve body. What air filter did ya get? Ya might think about intake and exhaust if you don't have those yet either.....one thing leads to the next
Another permagrin club member. Be sure to follow the install directions to the letter and keep the keys on the workbench and out of the truck when you pull the PCM.
F5 or F6? I don't know if anyone has the F6 yet? Really trying to decide which one and I'm more than ready to order!! I sold the Edge that came with the truck and WANT my dp!

it's supposed to be released later this month......I would hold off until then, sounds like it's gonna be the hot ticket!
I'm trying to hold out for the F6, I've waited for a long time, well, since I started reading on here last Dec. I suppose a couple of weeks won't kill me. I don't have my gauges in yet anyway.
I dont know why everyone gets all bent out of shape with gauges, "you GOTTA have them before you get a chip, or else, youre engine will blow!"
The only exception is not to hook up to a trailer in a hot-tow or performance tune. Just put it back to stock if you ever had to tow...
Face it, who has ever been drag racing or sled pulling, seen the EGT hit 1200 and let off? It's not going to hurt anything going to 1300, 1400, even 1500 for a few seconds. As long as you dont hold it there for more than 30 seconds or so (who can drag race that long unless youre on a salt flat?), youll be fine. There's never been a time i looked over at my gauge and actually let off because i saw it go past 1200. Its just there for peace of mind really.
I don't have guages and really didn't plan on getting them. I tow in overdrive about 70-75mph most of the time and it's only 5000#. I'm hoping I don't have a problem that guages would "solve" or point-out to me.

Im kinda glad to hear someone say that. Ive pondered getting gauges as a starting point, but they arent cheap, and to me they almost get hard to justify, its more cash i could spend on something else.
