Hey all!
I have noticed something really strange the other day. When I switch my Expy from A4WD to 4WD I cannot make sharp turns from the stop. The front wheels are having very hard time spinning. I would have to give it a lot of gas to get it going but then it still makes a lot of noise. It only happens in 4WD high and 4WD low. In A4WD I have never had any problems turning or anything like that.
What could that be?
Any info is greatle appreciated.
Thanks again
That is normal. When you engage 4 hi or low you are locking the front and rear driveshafts together. This means that something they are trying to spin at the same speeds all the time. When you go around a corner something has to give and what you are feeling is torque bind. Driving around with 4wd engaged on dry pavement is not a good idea as it will break parts due to the torque bind.
