4WD swap

i hav 1990 f150 2WD and noticed that my buddys 4WD bolts up to the parts on the 2WD front end. is this posible? if so i was wondering if there is any drilling/cutting/welding to be done other than the t-case mounts?

If you have an entire parts truck then it should be fairly straight forward (some welding and cutting will be involved IIRC). If you are sourcing parts individually then I wouldn't even worry with it. Buy a 4wd truck and sell your 2wd. I was looking into this for awhile on my 90 F150 and just ended up buying a Jeep, haha.

Yes, it can be done. There is no drilling or welding involved. It's way more work and probably cheaper to buy a parts truck.

You have to cut the floor pan, if you are using a manual transfer case though. Its not hard to do at all. Hardest part would be changing the transmission out, IMHO.
