Steven.... are you still out playing? I was expecting this build to be way ahead since I've been dicking around for the last three months! So when are you getting back to it???

Hey Mark - I've been about as slow as you... Lots going on and none of it with the crew.

I got my 74 2wd back here and was going to get it running before wrapping up the crew. That has been slow and then my girlfriend of 5 years broke up with me about a week and a half ago and I can't really force myself to work right now.

I've gotten to the point where I go to the shop, but I don't do much but mope around.

Add on top of that the fact that I need to bleed the brakes on the Alfa to move it out and pull the 74 supercab in, and I've got yet another stumbling block. I hardly ever have people at the shop and without Suzy being around trying to bleed the brakes by myself just ain't happening.

1 last thing to add to my sad story and that is the fact that I need my d60 for the crew back before I can do anything more on it and I still haven't gotten it back from my buddy. He's had it for a little over a year now it seems. I was supposed to pick it up this weekend and he didn't have a bearing so I couldn't get it. He was then supposed to bring it to me today but didn't. I am going to try and see if I can grab it this coming weekend but I somehow doubt it.

OK - enough b!tching and moaning. I'll be back to this thing sometime

I bleed the breaks by myself all the time. Make sure you have plenty of fluid. top off reservoir and open all bleeders wait till all are flowing freely (keep filling reservoir) start closing bleeders furthest away first. It's not perfect but it works pretty damn well.

Sure I am risking not sounding "man" enough here - but not my style Dave.

Suzy was my best friend and everything in my life for 5 years. I have nothing but good memories before she broke up with me. As much as I'd love to be over her already it ain't happening and I don't see it happening any time soon.

ChaseTruck754,

Just cause you're mooning over her loss doesn't make you less of a man, it just shows that you are human and you really did care for her!

There is NOTHING wrong with that!

-Enjoy

So I actually got a little done last night. I didn't really do anything to actually work on the crew, but the template I am making for door panels on the supercab will also be used here.

Here is the beginnings of the door panel template.

And then here are my expensive new wonders (custom deaver pack) for the supercab next to the deavers I was originally going to use. The "old" deavers (4" lift pack for a Chevy 2500) will now go on the crew.

Now to order these Deaver Long Travel Spring Under WIY Kit [89UNDERK] - $180.00 and start cycling the supercab over and over...

Hey there, I just came home from the All Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA. While I was there I saw your license plate, or at least your east coast brother

Nice plate, and good timing on the bump for the thread.
I actually worked on this thing today for the 1st time in a while. A couple reasons for that...
1 is I'm again waiting on Ruff Stuff parts to be delievered since they sent the wrong ones when they finally got here last time. Replacements were supposed to be here Thursday

and #2 is...

YAY - it's back!!!!!!!

I didn't do a ton on the crew tonight but I started cleaning up and re-painting the frame rails from the cab forward so I can put in the new shackles and get the 60 in.
