Never thought of a crock pot, but they are smaller than an oven so I'm just gonna keep my eyes on craigslist for one. I had one for coating a few years back, but like an idiot I dumped it.
Give me a call this weekend if you're around. I THINK I will be in the shop a bit but I'm not positive on what time. And no, I haven't seen the truck since the lettering or rear bumper/hitch work was done.

So I logged another hour or more at the sand blaster last night. It takes forever cleaning up there NASTY, greasy/rusty parts but i think it is worth it in the end.
I forgot to get any really good pics before I started cleaning these parts up so we only get to see 1 of the little end pieces on this thing before and after.
Man I love my sand blaster!!!!
I also bought the 1st of the fittings needed for my brake system so hopefully that will be rolling soon.
I am having a little trouble finding a roll of 3/16" stainless brake line though. The ONLY thing I could find that was in any length over like 4' was from summit and it was 20'. I am looking for more like 50' as I will be doing multiple trucks...
Any hints on where to get the stuff?

Thanks. I have a local hose/line specialist in town. I asked them and it was $4.50+ per foot for the stainless. Summit has 20' rolls of 3/16" stainless that has already been annealed for $36 + shipping. That's a LOT less $$ and I'm going with that for now.
I continued blasting and cleaning up the frame rails on Sunday. Not a ton got done but it seemed to take a lot of time
I ground out the rivets on the in frame leaf mounts for the front. I figured I'd rather replace these with bolts now than later. I hit them with the sand blaster after fighting with the rivets for a bit.
Anybody ever tried using delrin bushings in these? I might try.
Nothing much got done last night in the shop due to running craigslists pickups. I got a free oven though - so I can start powdercoating!!!!
I also got a milodon oil pan for the 351w for the supercab

Nice!
I spent last night moving crap around the shop again. I am trying to make room for the oven and some other stuff. Picking up another "pallet rack" tonight so I cna have more storage in the shop. I swear having a shop is bad for me as it allows me to collect more and more crap...
Back to the oven. It's smaller than I wanted (24"), but heck, it was free and it will do for the time being.
You think I'd need an exhaust fan? I was planning on just running ducting out the shop door when I had it on. It will be back by the big, rear door anyways so I can leave that open, and I have my floor fans running and pointing out the door like when I plasma cut in here.
Oh - and nice setup by the way!
My oven will live on a funiture dolly for now so I can move it easy if I have to. it has no range on the top and no hood.

1000X on that Every time I get a few hundie extra off to CL
To get everything I do not need for anything. Just to keep the shelves stocked. I got a pallet rack & filled it within the week. Now I am starting to hang everything I can from the rafters in the shop..
Every time I get room for a truck in the shop I bring in 2 & have no room to move.
I need another 40 x 50 pole barn for the overflow.

not only having room is bad but also telling friends what you are looking for is back because they will always find it! I tell people these ideas i have for my truck and then they go oh hey here i have one of those why dont you try it.... or they send you an email with a link to free stuff and you just have to go get it because heck its free how can you pass on that? that is why for now i have no room for stuff because i know if i had the room i have friends that would find stuff i need to fill it with...
