96 Shaking at 50Kph
I have a 96 f150 300 six, 5 speed singlecab shortbox. It has recently started to shake when I hit speeds between 45-55 kph. I can feel the vibration through the steering wheel. I have recently changed the diff fluid as I hit 160,000K but that did not fix the problem. My tires are pretty crappy, and are due for a change to new winter tires when the weather gets a bit colder. They are looking a little flat so I may up the psi tomorrow to see if that helps. The vibration goes away after I hit 60kph. It only vibrates when I hit the gas in that speed range. Anyone know what this could be? Alignment? Balljoints? Ujoints? Any suggestions are welcome.
my 95 did that too but at about 30km right after i shifted into 3rd gear so i waited a bit longer to shift up and it stopped but now it dont do it...mind you my truck sat fer 6 months before i got it so yeah...u-joints are usually heard at lower rpm range so listen for that try and figure out where the sound is commin from that will give you a good idea
