Ford is not playing fair!!!

I have an 05 F-350 that has had problems from day 1.

Ford has reflashed and fixed multiple things on this truck, and has helped the problems, but not completely fixed the most serious ones. Recently while towing, the truck acted up, and after bringing it back to the dealership, two codes were found, a PO478 and a PO341. The tech rebuilt the turbo, and claims the problems are gone. I was charged the $100 deductable. The reason given to me, this was the first time the truck had codes in it and they just fixed the problems indicated by the codes. The symptoms were very similiar to the problem the truck had since new. I believe they are related. I probably won't know until I have a chance to check the truck out on some similiar pulls.

Just a little history, if you check back, I have posted quite a lot about my truck woes. But, back in early 05, ford had engineers out to test drive my truck and to find out what was wrong with it. They drove it, to the tune of a full tank of fuel, and left elated they actually had a truck act up like they had had reports of. They left with a computer loaded with data, and a promise to get me a fix. That has been 3 1/2 years ago. Some fixes have come, but none have solved my problems. Now the service manager tells me that these guys have moved on, and ford does not have the data anymore, and they know the problem, and they will continue to do flashes that help the truck, but will NEVER fix the problem. I will always have that problem. As far as any record that the engineers have come out and driven my truck and found issues and took them back with them, all that is lost.

Just curious what your take on this matter may be.

You need to see a different dealer.......They sound like a band-aid repair center and do NOT have a certified 6.0 diesel mech.

Several other dealers have had the truck, same story. The local consensus is this dealership has two of the best Diesel techs in the area. People bring their trucks to them from 100 miles away to get it fixed. I spoke to the tech, his story is they cannot do anything without written approval from ford. Ford willnot allow them to try to fix a warranty issue without their approval.
