Started Truck up this morning and the A/C worked fine. Turned engine off and it sat for about 30 min. Got back in and cranked engine and the A/C display (on console) stopped working. It does not show anything...no exterior temp, cannot turn A/C on. The Rear A/C blows fine (this is an excursion)

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
If there is nothing displayed I would check the fuses.. My 06 did that once..
I understand that it is a problem where the fuses do not make a good connnection sometime.. Just push on them one at a time to make sure they are seated..
Thanks for the reply. I will check the fuses. I was thinking that was the problem, but just wanted to get some thoughts from you guys. I hope it is as simple as changing a fuse.
if you have auto lights, try this with truck running turn lgt switch to off wait a sec, turn them on wait a sec, then off then back to auto. for some reason in the Excursions this gets the ac def panel working again.
This also happened to my 06 F350, i just turned the truck off and then on again and it starting working again. It happened to me twice now over a four month span but it still happened and im also taking my truck in tonight under warranty for the blower motor or something it just keeps running full blast out of the defrosters i can put the a/c on and put it on low med high and works fine but as soon as I hit the off button to turn the panel off it blows real hard out the top defrosters. Dunno maybe a resister or something we'll see !

The automatic headlight switch is the reset for the A/C module. Shutting your engine off and then restart usually does the trick also.
Kind of funny... my wifes Durango does the exact same thing. I will try the above suggestions to see if it works for her. Sorry I mentioned a Dodge. (my 6.0L doesn't like the 5.7L HEMI!! ).
Weirdest Thing.....This first happened on my wifes excursion...learned from her later in the day that is was working fine.
The rest of the story...
Got in my 06 King Ranch today cranked her up and...a/c display gone..holy crap...I thought. I calmly turned the lights on/off/auto/off/on and the display came on. I guess things really do happen for a reason. I would have probably gone to dealership and wasted time and effort for something that you guys fixed for me....
