292 soild lifter breakage problem
I have a 292 thats bored .40 over new internals rebuilt heads, the whole motor is solid. i have maybe 100 miles on it im on my second isky cam and on top of that i have replace all of the soild lifters twice i get like 50 miles and then they break. I have evan tried a different set of heads on it.
im not beating on it either. I put a small block and a aod in it because that only took a weekend!!!!
but i wanna keep this engine b/c i have too much money in it.
So any ideas? maybe some kind of new springs ?

Broken lifters? What exactly is happening to the lifter ? worn out tappet, or ? I would expect the push rod to bend before a lifter breaks. Are the lifters spinning/sliding freely in the bores upon assembly ? This being a flat tappet cam, are you using any zinc additive during break in/use ?
