Chips on Ebay
HI all ,
I'm some what new , I read alot posts,mainly f250 fuel mileage. I have a 05 f250 cc shrt bed 5.4 and my city milage is terriblie. I'm not looking to get 20 mpg I'd be happy with 13 to 15 I'm geting less than 10 now. I have't tried the dealer yet . I'm guessing they will be no help , I'd buy a tuner if I no it works (pricey$$$). On ebay they sell just chips plug and play . My question is has anyone had luck. Do they work. Which one?

The $20 chips are just resistors you add inline to either the ECT or IAT. Superchips, Edge and MSD are rather adamant that their products don't go directly to ebay. So you will need to confirm that any tuner you buy used will be cleared/reset/returned.
3mpg might be possible if you do a lot of other mods, but a tuner alone will probably not give you a 30% increase.

It has 3.73 w 265/17 tires all stock. I'd invest in a tuner if i could 3 mpg out it. I really don't want to spend a ton of money on ugrades get more MPG.
