smoking valve covers
1985 f150 300 v6 The truck started smoking from the valve cover,it wasnt running hot.Could it be the catalytic converter,and if so what is the easiest do it yourself replacement.

Its an I6. Ford didn't offer a V6. Anyway, maybe the smoke is coming from oil that is leaking from the valve cover and burning on the exhaust manifold. It could also be excessive blow by coming from the oil cap. I'm not really sure what else would cause it to do that.
