recently i bought a 56 F600 and it came without a title. never had to deal with this before but had to buy the truck anyway. what is the easiest way to get a title for it?
I know it varies from state to state, so I would check with your local DMV. I know if you have, or can get a bill of sale from the seller with the VIN and truck info on it, it will help a great deal. Hopefully someone who has done this in your area will chime in soon.
BTW, congrates on the buying a "big" truck, if you haven't realized already there are a lot of us on here with the big toys
lots of posts on this...you will likely need to get what is called a "bonded" title if the previous owner cannot get a duplicate title made or never had a title themselves.
checked out NC DMV website and after some searching, I found what you need:
yeah im not really in to trucks smaller than 250's. i work on concrete pumps and garbage trucks so thats were my love for trucks that do stuff is. the only thing i didn't like about bonding is that the vehicle has to be in operating condition, she has been sitting since 91.the only rust is the rockers and i have bent push rod and stuck valve on my dearbourne mich. 292 not that many were built there.but i dont want to put a lot of money in it and then find out that i cant register it or something , my luck. it used to be a local fire dept. water truck. has the old stripes and some goldleafing still.
