well my clutch master went out and no on around me (store wise) know of a replacement of is to dumb/lazy. They are not dumb or lazy, for the simple reason that there isn't a clutch master cylinder for your 1979 F150. Why?
Because no such thing existed till 1984. not sure on the motor year but it is in a 79 f150. i ebayed one for cheap but the rod linkage( that goes from the pedal to the cylinder its self) isnt threaded / adjustable and is to short to disengage the clutch any ideas??? i dont want to drive around with a jerry rigged clutch...
A hydraulic clutch master cylinder (or slave cylinder or any hydraulic clutch parts) was not used on any 1961 thru 1979 F100/350.
If this system is on your 1979 F150, someone has swapped in the hydraulic clutch system first offered for gassers in 1984, or added one from the aftermarket.
Are you sure your truck is a 1979? If the VIN is 17 digits = 1981 and up / 11 digits = 1980 and earlier.
