Membership cleanup

There's some conversation in the Chapter Leader forum regarding cleaning up membership lists and removing those who are not active on FTE.

We've (the Missouri Chapter) got 237 members. Maybe a dozen of which are active in our chapter.

On first glance, I've found LOTS of our members are active on FTE, just don't spend a lot of time here in the MO chapter...and that's OK. (Although I'll send them pm's and bug them to come say Hello.)

I'm thinking of removing those members who have not even logged in to FTE in 2008, but thought I'd ask you, the active members, what you thought.

Any ideas? Do you care one way or the other?

...and oh yeah...Thanks to those of you are active here in the MO chapter!

I don't think so...if "x" member hasn't logged on to FTE in eight months, am I really "stomping" on them?

I know on some of my free e-mail accounts if I don't log in I have to re register(account temp. disabled)... maybe do that... or the one that just joined asked 1 or 2 questions 3 years ago and never has been back on.... but if they are active on FTE then just keep sending them reminders to come say HI at least they are active on FTE... I know sometimes I'm hot in the 73-79 forums.. (havent been in there in a year... then hot in the 6.9 diesel forums (couple of months) then even sometimes I get bored with the mo chapter sometimes it's just dead and boring in here....

flame away Terry.....

No flame.

I'm not planning to remove members who are active on FTE.

We're only discussing those members who have not logged in at ALL in 2008.

Participation in the chapter certainly isn't required...as I mentioned above, I'll simply pm those members who are active elsewhere on FTE and ask them to come say hello.

The only members I'm considering removing are those who have not been on FTE at all this year.

...and that's OK.

Honest, I wasn't threatening anyone.

I'm just trying to get those folks who ARE active on FTE AND part of the MO chapter to stop by and say Hello.

Those who were members here, but haven't visited FTE this YEAR are not where I want to expend my limited time.
