Tokyo drift mustang
Check this out on ebay eBay Motors: Ford : Mustang (item 190247830261 end time Sep-07-08 16:41:48 PDT). Somethign here is fishy the guy says that he is under contract and cannot name the movie in which the cr was used in, yet it says Fast and the furious: Tokyo Drift right on teh windshield. And the he says it has a 6 cylinder skiline straight six, but under drivetrain put a 440 big block. Is this for real, or some E-bay scam? I kno this is a truck forum but wanted to see wut you guys though.

Well the pics they have show the nissan motor with that big turbo sit'n up front, it looks like the real thing. I guess whoever put it up on ebay f't up, I dont thing that motor has 440 ci. I don't really know but who wants a ricer-stang?

It will be movie memorablia. more than likely....
Im sure when they took ownership to begin with they signed a contract stating they couldnt say what movie or what studio it came from, since it was probably sold very shortly after production... The guy is still held to that contract even if the movie is already out.... I like that car, its nice looking. Seems legit, but i would insist upon a personal look and drive if i was gunna spend that much on ebay.

It seems like a nice car. However as a classic Mustang owner and enthusiast, all I can say is that putting that engine in it is a disgrace to the Mustang. I don't care how much power it has or how fast it is. Its just not right. The wheels don't look right either. I don't even have to say anything about the fart tube exhaust do I? I'd like to have it, but I would remove all the rice burner stuff and sell it to finance putting it back to normal, or at least close to it. It says 440 small block. I don't know why they put that on the specs. They probably just forgot to change that from one of their other ebay listings. I can't believe some one is bidding that much for it.

Its a collectors item, fast and the furious B.S. Thats why its goin for that much, plus its already fully restored, take that engine and trans out, throw in a hot 351 and you got your self a real nice car,

If this car is a knock-off he is good. Just went through the building scene of the movie and did not find any mistakes. I am tired though.
I did do a quick google search and could not find any nissan engines that were 440. I found plenty of mopar 440's and lots of comparing of the motors.
But for $45K (I have a feeling he actually wants $100K) I could get all three of my trucks built to my specs.
