Gas Powered????
Most have seen in a recent post my son Tim turned 14. Really wanted a gas powered remote control car. Well after alot of enternet playen, and a few phone calls we got him one.
It's blast........... We have a neighbor that's had one for sale for a while, through a couple garage sales. Had it still so I bought it. It's a Traxxas TMAXX 4x4 truck (yes with a Ford body) for $200 over $400 new.
Had to do some work on it to get it running, a couple parts broken but not bad shape. We've been playin in the yard quite abit, till the rain came in, and staying here for the next few day's.
Hit myself in the inside of my right ankle hard enough to leave a damned knot.
Anybody else have these things? We need to play.

when i was USMC in okinawa japan, i had a jeep wrangler 4X4 hardtop electric powered radio control, it was kool, put an aftermartket performance motor and street slicks on it ,lol it was cool until it fell in love with a very strong curb . . . . . . . at top speed . . . . . not good, so i went out and bought one of those 4X4 gas powered nitro street cars yada yadda thingys.......added a bigger gas motor, did a little grind work on the carb for better air flow, added a 2 spd tranny, talk about scream, it sounds like a weedeater on steroids and when it hit 2nd gear it would go sideways....but we clocked it in a car doing at least 45-50 mph before it would go out of control.......and it was hard keeping bodies on it, i had ford truck body, shaved the sides for ground clearence lol, it was fun, i have tried to get another jeep wrangler but they never sold em state side. good luck with your man, if you have any questions i might be able to help but i imagine so much has changed with the hobby!
