Trasfer Case Motor
Heres one guys, in the Ranger forums they told me to try here, So here it is my trasfer case motor, when I swtich it to 4H, it goes to the position but kicks right in reverse and goes back to 2wheel drive, ANY IDEAS, I have reaplaced the motor twice, Any Ideas would help, Thank you much all

have you reset your shift module? If you have a haynes manual it tells you how to do it.
I would even try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and hook it back up and reset the computer. It may be a dumb computer glitch. Try the easy stuff first, then move on to the bigger stuff.

Start simple like reseting the computer. Then i would try checking the t-case fluid level, you never know what dry gears can do. And if the level is good then see if there are any metal shavings in it, if the fluid is low thats probly your problem.
