Bug guard?

I'm thinking of putting a bug guard on my truck. Pros/cons? If I decide to do this, which model should I get?

Thanks.

I am partial to the Lund interceptor, my old vendors all told me it was their best selling. EGR is pretty nice too.

Pros, it protects the front edge of the hood from bugs and stones.

Cons, there are several heights, some you can get you hand behind some you can't. You need to be able to pull leaves and such out. It's another surface to clean. It makes waxing that part of the hood difficult. Basically just nit picking things.

I picked up my Excursion about 4:00 p.m. one afternoon. I only live about two miles from the dealership, drove straight home, and ripped off a perfectly good Lund bug shield. I didn't like the looks of it.

I probably should have saved it to pass on it on somebody here that would have wanted it.

I want to remove mine too but there's a couple of spots that rubbed through the paint
I like the way they look WITHOUT the shield.

I too removed mine...I HATED getting the crap out from under it every time I washed or waxed the truck.....and I think it looks better without it now it's off!
