Tom (crosbo) I see Idaho plates... where abouts are you? I grew up in Twin Falls, lived in Troy while attending UI. Nice looking truck!

To be honest, I have no idea. They were on the truck when I bought it.

Thanks, they look really small for 35's now. Once these ones need to be replaced, I will get 37 or 38's to put under it.

The truck is pretty big to me but that may because I am just a lil bit. I cant see in the bed, in the windows or over the hood.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Scott and Nick, you have some sweet looking rides!

Good eye Chase. I used to live in Idaho Falls. I've since relocated back to the San Antonio Tx area. I travel back to IF every so often for work. I do miss the Snake and the flyfishing, but it's nice to be home

I have 35's and have no intention of going larger. I think yours(and mine) look awesome as they are at 35's. That is the beauty of it. It is what you like and not what others like. Once you wrap your head around that concept life is grand.

Chase the marinco plug I have in the license plate holder is not a problem to get to. Its easier than fishing it out from beside the tow hook, which is now not even possible since I added the mirror finished pieces around them. It also keeps it out of sight there, too.

Lee what did you make those pieces around the tow hooks out of? It looks pretty darn good on your truck alot better then the bolts hanging out of it.

I had them laser cut out of 16ga mirror finished stainless steel. I really need to cut some more out of some thicker material, because they are a little distorted from the tightening of the bolts. I also replaced the factory acorn head bolts with some stainless steel hardware.

I can't blame you for ditching IF Tom, that town is heading downhill (at least it was last time I was there... too many people/too little space).
Lee those SS pieces are a nice touch, and thanks for the info on the block heater plug. Are you lifted at all?

Just the leveling kit. I have seen many people that put the marinco plug in the bumper itself but I was going for the stealth install. With the way the winters have been for the last few years around here its not like I even hardly need the block heater.

Looks good, I'd stick with a 37/13.5 if you go larger.

38 only if you try a 38/13.50. 38/15.50s will rub for sure.

As for the whole big wheel vs. smaller wheel thing, personal preference.

I didn't used to like larger wheels very much. Back when I was running 38" tires on 16s:

Personally, I like the looks on the 20s I have now better.

But it's just like the blacked out vs. chrome thing......I have no chrome and others like chrome. All personal preference.

As mentioned, we build our own trucks based on what *we* like (or at least we should).

Scott, your truck is calling you for a set of 6" miter stacks..

Dan, i love how your truck looks in that pic, maybe the fact the wheels are black, it actually looks cooler like that. However i do agree the 20's on a 33-37" tire looks alot better than a small 16" rim. JM .02

Best straight side shots in good light...

16s:

20s:

16s are long gone, sold the tire and wheel combo to a guy in FL. These 20s will soon be gone as well (well maybe not gone, but the wheels won't be on the truck)
