My 1987 F-150 turns over fine and gets spark but no gas to the cylinders. The gas gets past the fuel filter and pump, and then it comes to the EFI. I put some gas in the entrance for the air into the fuel injection, after the air filter and it runs. What could be wrong.
First how did you check for fuel? If you just unhooked the line to check if fuel would flow you may have flow but not enough pressure. Check pressure at the test fitting on the fuel rail. 30 to 40psi should start it. If ok then take a test light and check for injector pulse at one of the connections to one of the injectors by hooking the test light between the two terminals after you disconnect it from the injector. If you have injector pulse then then it gets difficult I would have to be there. If you don't have injector pulse you will have to check the computers ability to process the signal to pulse the injectors. Hope that helps some.
I think that it is my eec relay and there is a loose wire, but it doesnt start even when I reconnect it. I looked at my wireing diagram in haynes and it doesn't have a place for this wire.
If I remember correctly the EEC relay also supplys power to the coil wich means if it is not working you would not have spark. The EEC relay does supply power to the fuel pump relay.
