08 mirrors
Does anybody know the difference between the retrofit 08 mirrors that Dfuser sells and the 08 mirrors that you can by from a dealership? I am trying to get 08 mirrors and i would like to just order then from the dealership, but will they fit on my truck? Its a 01 Excursion.

The reason why i ask this is because the guy who works in the parts department at my local dealership says the 08 mirrors wont fit my truck. He says that the 08s are a different animal lol and i dont believe about the 08 mirrors not fitting on my truck

I am gonna get them from a dealership because i own a lawn care business and my one customer owns a body shop and i do his place for free. So he wants to do somthing thing for me and he asked me if i wanted anything doen to my truck since he knows i am into moddin things and i said sure can u get me 08 mirrors and he said ya. He gets his parts when he works on ford cars from a dealership and gets 40% off. But he wanted me to double check because when he went and ordered them he told the parts manger that he is puttin them on a 01 Ex and the parts manager said no they wont fit.

+1 They'll fit. Remove tab. Splice wiring. Enjoy view.

I got them on my 01 F350 with no trouble. Some splicing, some rewiring, some running of new wires. It's not plug and play but it can be made to work and they look like they belong there. Just do a search here, you'll find a few write-ups on how to do it, some even with pics.

For the guys that put them on, did you guys get the power extend and fold? I am thinking about getting that feature.

Ok. But since i am getting them for "free" and my body man can get a forty five percent discount, i might get the Power fold/extend. Do you guys think that part would be hard to wire up?
