slight howl

slight howl
just a quick question. for the past few weeks i have noticed a little howl from what is sounding like it's coming from the tranny. it only does it between about 1300-2000 RPM's under normal acceleration and only up until about 35 MPH. i haven't been too worried about it because there haven't been any other symptoms. the thing is still running strong as ever and haven't had a single hickup. just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their trucks or if it is a warning that something more serious is coming?

I have never heard anything like that on my truck yet. I did just add some Lucas transmission oil though. Made that already smooth great feeling torque shift feel that much better. I used to add it to the old truck with the 4R100 and it made a noticable diffrence in that tranny as well. My point being if its shifting fine Im sure it is could be something else. I hear kinda of a humm noise in my truck but figured it was normal operation of the thing.

i only hear it when the windows are rolled down as well. it is about time for me to get the tranny flushed so maybe here in the next couple weeks, after Hanna passes, i'll get to the dealership and have a complete flush done. maybe that'll take care of it.
