I completely dissassembled my Volare to paint the torsion bars and other parts so when I was ready to adjust it everything was loose. I jacked it up and started tightening the adjustment bolts a little at a time (one or two revolutions at first), let the truck down and then measured the height on each side. Once I got the height even (remember the adjustment on the right affects the height on the left and vice versa) then I jacked it back up and continued tightening the adjustment bolts an even amount on each side until I got the height where I wanted it. Make sure you have the truck sitting on a level surface before you start. You will find that after driving it some the front end will settle a little lower and you may have to raise it further. Also, if the ride is really stiff you may have raised it too much or really mushy, too little (although a little mushiness is normal for these suspensions). After you get it where you want it have the alignment done. Most likely the alignment guy will not change the torsion bar adjustment. They didn't on mine. The important thing is to get it where you want it BEFORE the alignment since adjusting it up or down affects the alignment. Hope this helps some...
