351 C questions

Hey ya'll. I've been contemplating rebuilding a 4v cleveland that I have for a future lowbuck rod project I want to start next year. Pulled the engine out of a mustang parts car I had that came with my '70. I wanted to check with the more experianced guys on what kind of HP and torque I could expect to get from a mild cam, stock heads, nothing special, except that the look I want for the rod needs a tunnel ram manifold. thanks

Thats a great engine and an easy one to pulll great horses out of, first of all port the exhaust side of those heads carefully and get some forged pistons that reahc 0 deck so you can enjoy a better compression with any given octane, other than that, you already have a stock power horse....

1970 Clev. engines had 11.3-1(in the books anyway).I had to tune carefully for pump gas when I had my 70 Clev. They will make great HP with little work,The tunnel ram,a good, cam headers, the exhaust port work and some forged pistons.I went 7.43 1/8 mile in my old 67 Must.with a Torker int.,mild hyd. cam,Hooker headers, stock 4V heads, forged 12.5-1 pistons and a 850 dbl.pump Holley.

I've been looking through here to see if I could find anything on using a 400 crank in a cleveland, but I'm guessing not. anyone know if it can be done?
