I got there late for that too but it looked awesome as always. Alot of neat rides with everything from the 65`s up thru 69 Boss cars, some pretty juiced up late Mustangs all the way up to 3 Ford GT`s (the new GT 40), some newer Shelby's, some all out race cars including a 67/427 Fairlane street strip car, strip only Maverick loaded for bear....
Afew hundred fast Ford products, ya just had to be there!
Tomorrow as the meet winds down these cars will be on a poker run and a tour of the University of Saskatchewan.
Sounds like it was a good one to attend. Morris, for me there are not too many cars that get my mojo going like either a 1969 or 1970 Boss 429.
Those GT40's just never turned my crank - in that category I have always leaned towards cars like the Ferrari (like it really matters because there is a high likelihood of me getting one of those!)
I hear you Warren, it`s the same for me when talking about sweet rides, so do it and some don`t.
Just standing beside the GT(40) sent shivers down my back, this low, sweet 200 mph car will do that to me.......
I forgot to mention that there were 4-5 real nice 56 show trucks F100`s from Alberta.
Guess I`ll have to get there sooner next time, there was alot of great eye candy!
wish i could have been there. there was an original gt40 in the show last sunday. looked like it'd been driven often, but as Fom said, its a spine tickling ride. does it for me more than anything italian, but i have BOTV as we all know...
That`s what FTE is all about!
You should have taken in this International Show Dustin. It was free, happens only once in a number of years and there was alot of real sweet Canadian/USA Fords (though mostly it`s mostly Mustangs).
There is an original '60's GT40 in the peg. Orange and blue....I think that was the Gulf colour scheme. I've seen it on display, once and spoke to the guy who owns it. Can't recall if it's a 289 or 427, but think it's a 289.
I saw it about a month ago, near Pembina Hwy. I don't think there are any new style GT40's around here. Haven't seen any.
There were at least 3 of the style GT(40`s) at the show show, two identical (is there any other way?) red ones with white strips and the blue with orange stripes. I think the blue one belongs to the Jubilee Ford owner and there is also a black with silver strips in Saskatoon.
Unfortunately I don`t know of any original GT40 around here Les.
