Anybody know how to remove a Ignition cylinder in a 88 bronco? It is stuck in the off position, The key goes in half way, and I can't do anything. I want to replace the whole cylinder. Any Ideas anyone?
Don't know about the earlier, but, the 90's have a small hole just under the cylinder. Stick a heavy piece of wire in and try to turn or push in (I think) the cylinder, this should pop it out IF it's that style. Can't remember if the key had to be in or not! Been a few years since I've done that and it was for a Ranger. Hopefully someone will be able to shed some more info on this for you.

a little more info.. It looks like their is a small silver pin under the cylinder, But It won't push in, And I can't put the key all the way in to turn it to the start position?
The key must be turned to the on position before you can push in on the pin and remove the lock cylinder. So since yours will not move it will be necessary to drill out all the lock pieces so the cylinder can be turned, pin pushed, and cylinder removed. It is real time consuming until you've done several. There are some hard steel pins in there that have to be dug out.
