Check the cable at the rear brakes to see if it is loose.
If there is any play in the cable when the brake is pressed in, tighten it.
Also, check to see if there is any movement of the cable at all.
If there is no movement between pressing the pedal down, or releasing it, check the cable on the pedal itself.

I really don't know too much about the E series, so I don't want to go spewing out wrong info.
I'm going to let someone else who might have more knowledge of this give out the right info.
Good luck, and sorry i couldn't help too much.

Did the pedal go to the floor suddenly or just over time? If it went suddenly, you might have seperation of the parking brake shoes. When they get alot of use, sometimes the linings seperate from the shoes. You would need to remove the rotors to replace them. And, yes, they do have an adjuster.

yes, there is a screw thingy inside the brake drum. you initially set tension with this, and it self adjusts over time every time you use the e-brake (as needed).

you need to pull the rear disc/drum assembly off and take a look.

post up pictures if you can
