03 Expy P0171 and 0174 Errors

Does anyone know how to reset the service engine light I disconnected the negative and positive battery cables for 30 mins and still I have the service engine light? I do have a little bit of white smoke coming out of my exhaust with the P0171 and P0174 Bank1&2 System too lean error. My wife had driven the truck til 10 miles to empty before she filled it up . she cant remember if it happened before she fille dup or right after. This isnt the first time she had run the truck on fuel really low like this. Could this have triggered these error codes? Thanks for everyones replies. I really appreciate it. Im in the army and they don't pay very well so Im scared to see how much they will charge me at the dealership to diagnose this problem. Thanks again guys

I've run mine down to "single digits till empty" before without any issues, so I'd say that's probably not your problem. Most auto parts stores will scan codes and reset CEL's for no charge. If the light comes back on right away, it could be a constant issue that trips the code immediately, don't know.
