how to adjust the e-brake cable

my truck's ebrake WORKS, but i have to push it really really hard to get to keep the truck in my driveway in neutral, is there an adjustment somewhere or is the drums that need adjusting?

well assuming the star adjusters are not rusty junk the the brake shoes are close, look on the outside of the frame, drivers side, about directly below the cab/bed and adjust the euqalizer - ther THAT is not rusty junk as well

There are two issues here....one is whether the ebrake pedal has a long distance to make good contact (needs adjustment by the frame rail), the other is that the pedal is just hard to push yet the adjustment may be fine. That I believe is just age related...the metal wire trying to slide in an old sheathing. Solution...use it or lose it.

Make sure your brake shoes are properly adjusted.

Lube your ebrake cables with graphite.

Lube the main cable from the pedal with graphite.

Adjust the equalizer.

Replace the cables if all else fails.
