tach hookup

i have a sun super tach 2 that i pulled out of a truck in a salvage yard it has green , red, black, and white, wires coming out of it can anyone tell me where each one go`s i didnt have time to trace them when i removed the tach. thanks in advance

tach hookup

These are just guesses. Red to positive. Black to ground or negative. One of the remaining would be the tach illumination. The last wire would be for the tach input. If you have an ohmmeter, check for continuity from the white and green to black. Then remove the bulb and check again. If one of the wires had continuity before but doesn't now that is your illumination wire. The other one would be your tach input.

Red is positive, black is ground, blue is the backlight, and green gets connected to the negative side of the ignition coil.
