The ABS light in my 1990 Bronco (with rear ABS only) stays on constantly. I turn the truck on, it lights up, goes out for a second then comes back and stays on. The brakes are fine. Anyone had a similar problem?
I am sure your not to worried about spending money on the ABS for
a Fourwheeling truck
A quick fix that I've done to several Rangers, Bronco's, F-pick-up with RW ABS is a piece of electrical tape over the light
A common problem is for the ABS computer to loose ground. There are two pigtails on the negative battery cable - one is to ground the EEC and the other is to ground the ABS. The problem is a two prong connector next to the battery by the radiator support. Corrosion in the connector often causes intermittent ABS and EEC failure. Worth checking.
