Help a New Guy Out!
So I bought this 2004 F150 a couple weeks back and I really love the truck and just bought a grille for it. I was determined to do so because of the empty space between the upper bumper cover and the chrome bumper. I have come to realize that there has got to be something else missing in this spot, as there is NO WAY to bolt up the new grille I purchased, and I know people are bolting up the exact grille I got on these trucks because I have seen them.
Here are some pictures...please help me out...this grille will look great in the big open space I have.
This is the truck

Thanks for any help you can provide. I'm also interested in buying a whole new chrome bumper for the truck as there seem to be a bunch of dings and even a crack in one spot. Doesn't look like the guy who had it before me hit anything hard, but usually hit something softly.

I would think there should have been some mounting hardware. Mabey try contacting the company about that. If that doesn't pan out, place the new grille in the opening by hand and look for any areas that may make a good mounting point. I would think it would require some brackets (4 or 6), some stainless steel screws or nuts, bolts and washers that any good hardware store can provide.

If and when you replace your bumper, you will need to also buy the lower grille. I thought something was missing down there. I just replaced my front bumper assembly a few weeks ago from sombody that hit me, and there is alot of hardware and brackets behind the bumper. It is not hard to do but it will require some patience and a second person to make it easier to remove and re-install to line up. Good link BigGrizz76
