Alternator Identification Help....

Hey I just bought a Warn Battery Isolator so I could Install a second battery in my truck... When I read the instructions they say I should have a Group 1 alternator.....With three wires two thick with black stripes and one thin...... My alternator has a plug with three thin wires and one real thick wire off a post on the back..... What do I do and what alternator do I have in my truck... Internal or external regulator? What wires do the warn instructions refer to? Help guys!
