It seems like I remember someone a while back where anytime someone had a problem, the guy would post back saying there was some valve that prevented the problem that must have been bad. For example, someone would start a thread that said "My engine is ____." The guy would come in and say "Sounds like your anti-____ valve is bad." He did this for a bunch of things too. While I thought it was kind of funny to read, others in the threads were perhaps more trusting and considered the guy's responses, and it put them on a wild goose chase.

That's not what I meant. I mean someone that posts knowing that they don't know anything about the subject, so they just take a guess, not even knowing if it's possible.

Well then I agree to that, that kind of posting should be discouraged.

I see that in many CL forums, which makes them pretty much useless.

Agree? Disagree?
1. No, it is not that important to raise one's post count.
2. It helps the person who posted the wrong answer to feel better that they helped or tricked the OP
3. Nothing is wrong with NOT posting(in fact, I'm not posting right now)
4. I don't get it as well. (that is not an invitation to lame jokes)

5. Maybe.

According to one insufferable p... in an engine forum, unless you've owned, raced, and built a particular engine, you are an ignorant moron. I hope that's not the standard we're looking for....

Note the thread is 2 years old.....
