Dose anyone (Number Dummy) know the part #s for seals in a Dana 60 for a 1966 F-250?
Parts man at local stealership resused to even look at seals that were removed from truck.

Peeps ask 100's of questions a day here on FTE. Some are klewless and don't post a shred of evidence of what the hell they are working on, then wonder why no one answers.

LOL! If I was a farrier, I'd know exactly what shoes go on what mule.

Since you posted the make, model and year...I'm gonna assume it's the axle seals.

Dickerson Motor Co in York, SC has 2.

Manderbach Ford in Temple PA has 3.

Kovatch Ford in Nesquehoing PA has 3.

Bob Allen Ford in Overland Park KS has 2.

Monticello Ford in Monticello IA has 2.

Auburn Motor Sales in Auburn IN has 3.

Kinsel Motor Co. in Beaumont TX has 2.

5 other Ford dealers have 1 each.

 

Thank You very much for the response! The part # will be very helpful. I didn't specify which seal because I need all three. Two axle seals and one pinon seal. I also need four axle bearing retaining nuts with the locking washers. The last person who rebuilt the brakes used a cold chisle to remove retaining nuts. Can I just use gasket material and a gasket hammer to make my own inspection cover gasket and axle gaskets? The axle code on drivers door is #24. Tag on axle says Dana 60 4.10

 

FYI, you might want to save this info, just in case, cuz I ain't gonna live forever: 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Rear Axle Parts List is #93 / The Rear Hub Parts List is #7.

This parts catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com. This is what I'm using.

All of the following parts are obsolete. Green Sales has all but the nuts.

Pinion Seal = C6TZ4676B / Green Sales has these.

Axle gaskets = A8TZ1001B / Green Sales has these.

Lock rings = 611124 / Green Sales has these.

Nuts = 614252 / Green does not have them / LOL, speaking of farriers...Muleshoe Motor Co in Muleshoe TX has two / Manderbach Ford in Temple PA has 5 / Crandall Motor Co in Park City UT has 2 / 4 other dealers have one each.

Inspection cover gasket = C5TZ4036B / Green Sales has these

 

I had done alot of digging on this yesterday and I ended up walking away from the puter as I was unable to find a few p/n in the text...pix was easy even though Ive never done this work on my own...anyway...wasnt this same rear used on the other 2 makes of trucks in the US...Im wondering if they would stock the parts...assuming they are the same that is... I definately am not trying to help the other makes dealers out, just trying to make finding the parts needed easier is all...

Parts catalog info: 1001's are listed under 1001's. 1175's & 1124's are listed under the rear hub parts list (#7). 4252's are listed under 4252. 4676 & 4036 are listed under rear axle parts list #93.

I called Green Sales this AM to verify they have the above parts.

Green Sales does NOT have the 611124 lock rings, they are out of stock.

Here's who does have them: McDonald Obsolete Parts in Rockport IN has 3: 812-359-4965 / Wesley Obsolete Parts in Liberty KY has 2: 606-787-5293 / JST Automotive in Lebanon TN has 2: 615-443-3086.

Green Sales does have 3 of the 614252 nuts / JST Automotive in Lebanon TN has 2 (phone number above).

The Axle bearing retaining nuts and locking washers are all I need to get the rear axle back together and start putting truck back together.
