So where exactly is the outside temp sensor located?
So its about mid-high 70soutside, and my outside temp is showing 85-96. I did just have some work done on the front end (bumper/grille/headlights/grille support replaced with 05 parts) and I suspect the temp sensor may be up against or near something warm for some reason now. Or maybe its just going bad I dunno yet. Need to find the darn thing first though!
I just looked through the grille at all kinds of angles and cant see anything. I just had the front end changed to the 05 version and I am beginning to suspect the sensor is laying somewhere it shouldn't be. Can someone tell me exactly where to look through the 05 grille to find it? I think I see the hole under where the air intake tube is, but don t see any sensro around there. I see a 1 1/2" by 3"?? hole that looks like it may have had something there before. Theres two small holes drilled through this opening that may have held the sensor before? Is this where it should be? Where does teh wiring come in from?
I keep getting temps around high 80s/low 90s after a few minutes of driving wherever this things sitting.
The sensor should be mounted right in front of my hand and to the right a tad. It is to the right of the radiator/condenser where the matting stuff is.
