Thumbs up Welcome DJS90F250 to our Chapter!

Hey everyone,

I want to welcome our newest member, djs90f250 (DJ) to our chapter. He gave a short intro in the introductions forum. He also shared the following information:

I live in Martinez CA. I'm new to the ford truck world, over the last 6 years I've had a couple Dodge diesels, but have since inherited a 1990 F250 4x4 that I plan on making my hunting/wheeling rig. I don't have any specialized mechanical skills but I can do most repairs, short of a complete rebuild of an automatic transmission or a motor.

Sounds like we have another shade-tree specialist in our group! (Most of us are one too)

Sounds like you have a great truck. What engine is in it?

Welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing you in the forums and hopefully at a get together.

Karl

Welcome aboard. I don't know anything about AOD transmissions either. To be more specific, when I have listened to mechanics about such things they tend to suggest going to one of the high volume chain transmission places (AAMCO, etc) saying, "There's magic happening in there". The chains do this work all the time, have all the tools, and have LOTS of practice.
