I have a pretty solid plan for a DIY CCV cannister/filter. My only stumbling block is a bypass valve in case the filter clogs before I get to it. Don't want a pressurized crankcase in any way. I am stuck on what level of vacuum could exist in the ccv system and I have no way to measure, though I do have a vacuum gauge laying around here.
what do you think of the filter minder from K&N? would it be sensitive enough for ccv vacuum? It would sure be easy to rig to the lid and just plan to check it and go with no bypass. would a filter minder from a smaller CID vehicle with less air volume work?
At some point I need to decide to continue or fork over $200-250 for a Racor and find a place for it.
This forum is incredible. Thanks for any advice. Dana
