Air Compressor

Ive seen a truck actually a few that have had a small air compressor under the hood. I to would like to do that but dont know where and how to start out. Anyone else here done this before?

Depends on what you are talking about. Low riders use the crap out of compressors-so they are ready to go. There are the 12volt take forever plug into the cigarette lighter emergency compressors. Then there are the 12v to 120 AC converters that would allow you to run a small compressor. If you are talikng about mounting one to run off a belt, I suppose you could, but why?

If you are talking about the ones that are ran by the engine from converting the a/c compressor to an air pump,do a search in the off-road section of fte,but that is pretty hard core if you don't wheel a lot or use air tools. there are some out there that are decent that run off the battery,but you will most likely pay more than the $50 the el cheapo ones that don't work very well. depends on what you need the air for.
