I had an extended lunch at work today and didn't have s*** to do. There some old crappy dirt roads on the back end of base that've been torn up by 2 1/2 ton trucks, HMMWVs, and more. So after the past 6 days of rain there's about 2' deep big ol' mud puddles. I decided to have some fun on my lunch brake.
Got some dirt n' dirty water on my truck, then drove back to work. Everything was fine. When the day was over I got in my truck to leave and i had no spark. Tried messing with the connections, disconnected the hot wire from the bat and reconnect it. Still nothing. I was tired of screwing with it, so i disconnected the MSD, when back to the original hook-up and she fired right up.
Any ideas? Maybe the 6A box isn't sealed right and water got into it. I'm lost.
Do you have power to the MSD still? I have a 6AL in mine and I have hit it with the pressure washer a few times cleaning mud out from under the hood with no issues.
Well I left it disconnected for a day and used the stock ignition system. Then I cleaned up the positive battery terminal reconnected, reconnected the system, and tried again. Just crankin, still no spark. Is there a way to test it or narrow down what's causing this malfunction.
