hi everyone.i have tinted windows and its hard for me to see when backing up.does anyone have any suggestions??brighter bulbs?how do wire in an independent back up light? any help is greatly appreciated.thanx in advance.....paulieg69
I don't know if this will help, but that is the same problem I have. I don't have tinted windows, but I still can't see while backing up. And I do a lot of backing up! I think I will be installing some KC back up lights from summit racing. They are a bit expencive though. They trurn on once you shift into reverse. Part # KCC-517 $67.99 2"x6"
I just don't know where to mount them without them getting broken. Brighter bulbs would be nice. If they do make them, maybe thats a better route. Hope this helps and good luck.
1) Install a pair of driving lites from under the rear bumper and wire them directly into the wire to the back-up lites.
2) There are heligen bulbs you can buy for about $7.00 each that go right into the sockets of the existing bulbs. I haven't tried those, but I did do #1.
Hope this helps you out.
